At Ysgol Bryn Garth, we are proud to promote the Welsh language and celebrate Welsh culture as part of everyday school life. As an English-medium primary school working towards our Cymraeg Campus Arian Award, we are continually developing opportunities for pupils to use and enjoy Welsh throughout the day. From greetings in the classroom and assemblies to conversations in the dinner hall and playing games on the playground, we encourage all members of our school community to use Welsh with confidence and enthusiasm.

Our Criw Cymraeg play an important role in promoting Welsh across the school by leading assemblies, sharing the Cymraeg yr Wythnos – Welsh phrase of the week, and encouraging pupils to use Welsh in daily activities. Throughout the year, pupils have enjoyed taking part in a variety of exciting Welsh-themed experiences including our school Eisteddfod, St David’s Day celebrations, Dydd Miwsig Cymru, studying Welsh artists, and participating in a school Jambori. This section of our website showcases some of the wonderful activities, displays, and learning experiences that help bring the Welsh language and culture to life at Ysgol Bryn Garth.
